Elwood Farmers Market plans opening!

Opening day the of Elwood Farmers Market - Saturday, June 13, 2009.

The local market in downtown Elwood, IN, will open every Saturday, June 13 thru September 2009 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Located in the heart of downtown next to the fountain at the corner of South A Street and South Anderson St. (St. Rd. 13). Each week local farmers and garden enthusiasts will offer their own locally grown produce as well as some local garden and craft type items. The Vintage Rollers will display cars of eras past, always a crowd pleaser. Every week a theme will be offered to attract a wide variety of interests. This is a great time to visit with neighbors, visitors to the community and with the local farmers market vendors. It's a great opportunity to check out some of Elwood's own tourist attractions which includes the House of Glass and Prestige Glass featuring artisians craftsman glass creations, a honey wine producer; New Day Meadery which offering tours and wine samples. Elwood also has a rock shop, Spencer's Lapidary in Elwood too. A rock lover's paradise. Make sure you plan enough time to visit one or all these attractions. Or better yet, come back every week to purchase fresh produce from the Elwood Farmers Market and visit these attractions as well as our local businesses.
